It just occur to me that I will not be in Malaysia this weekend!!

I have so many things on my plate right now that I can't seem to feel excited.

My first time going to Europe! Wooot. Can't believe it's finally happening. I am more excited about seeing things rather than shopping but my goal is to buy myself a new purse and perhaps shoes. Haha.

Weather is pretty insane but no snow this year which makes it a little bearable. I hope.

Two random fridays in a row!

For lunch today we decided to be a little bit adventurous and explore the city for good food. been stuck with KLCC food for the past 8 months and I am so sick of overly pretentious and over priced food!

Ever since I started working I've been hearing a lot about the infamous nasi beriyani lorong tikus. The name sounds so unappealing but I was just really curious to try. So off we go to masjid jamek and with the help of google map we found the said lorong. Really reminds you of line clear in Penang.

There's just something about eating nasi beriyani at some dodgy looking place. it makes the experience worth while! I've tasted better but it was definitely cheap for a plate of Briyani in KL.

After a full plate of rice it was time to hunt for some good old cendol. Found this makcik in front of HSBC and for the first time I got to experience the old school way of making cendol. She didn't use those machines to shave the ice but she used an ice grater. Imagine a cheese grater but she grates ice!

The whole thing was like an adventure! Literally food hunting and of course being me, I will go the extra mile to find good food!

It's nice to have people around you who are equally passionate.

Lastly, I really enjoy walking around the city looking for secrets hidden in the heart of KL. There are still so many things to explore. I always believe that the old Kuala Lumpur is still there hidden behind the developments and constructions. It will always be a mining city. Gotta get your hands dirty to find it!

It's been years since I've written anything in Malay Such a shame though, spent years learning and all went down the drain as soon as i enter university.

i would love to be able to write in Malay but it will always turn out to be like a form 5 composition homework! Perhaps my lack of reading malay books contributed to this as well. I just cannot read malay books! In my life time I've only read two Malay books which is very pathetic! So I should probably get a really good Malay novel and read~

I realize that I've been neglecting my own language. Maybe I should not be so eager to learn other language when I can barely write a full post in Malay. perhaps i can but to avoid sounding so formal since that's the only form of Malay I am used to. for writing that is. It'll probably be a "rojak" of bahasa pasar and english. That is probably the worst kind! ha ha.

Had a very low key new year's celebration with the girls. Putrajaya was as quiet as ever. Was rather disappointed with the fireworks. Ended with a 3 hours mamak session which is very typical us~

Here's to hopefully a good year. It's now over a week in 2012 and I can say things are just starting to gear up. :)

Hello 2012~

Okay it's already the 3rd day of the new year! And i have to wake up in less than 7 hours! I need a longer break please!

Anyway, had a low key new year's eve with the girls, ended up gossiping until 4 am!

I want this year to be filled with adventure and for me to step out of my comfort zone, to take more challenges and to go get whatever I want.

Three days in and so much to say. Hope this will last!

I can't wait for London!! I don't usually get excited until the moment I arrive at a location. So I am elated but at the same time I can't say that I am too excited. Probably this is the first time that I have to actually use my own money that makes it less eventful. haha.

Weeks of planning and researching and I'm just down to buying a few more train tickets and we are set baby! It's my first time going to Europe and I don't know what to expect. of course from pictures it looked amazing but just experiencing it will be a totally different thing.

I guess it was pretty random and impulsive to buy the ticket. But I've been postponing this trip for so long, I guess it's about time to just go. Of course it would be nice to go to other countries but I guess London and Paris are enough for this trip. Lets save up for Italy and Spain. ;)

10 days of UK and Paris and I have no expectations whatsoever! I just know that it's gonna be very cold and wet. Hopefully it won't rain so much.

I am an easy, go with the flow kinda traveler. So I don't really mind if I miss some attractions but I WANT TO GO TO OLD TRAFFORD! 13 hours flight and not go is just pure stupid! but we'll see. Hopefully everything goes well.

I'd be so broke when I come back but heck, I'm still young. Life's too short anyway. :)

The year is coming to a close. about a week to 2012.

If I can describe 2011 in a word it would be "CHANGES"

a lot of changes happened this year and some are good and some are not so good.

from the end of my uni days to working to becoming and adult and the list could just go on and on. i learned a thing or two about myself this year and I can say that there are rooms for improvement.

I have lost and made new friends. It's a circle of life, you lose some you gain some.

It's a year of challenges as well. Just getting used to working life, financial management, time management and etc. UTP had spoiled me for 4.5 years. It was a lot certain then. I just had to study, do my assignment and at the end of the day graduate. Now this is real life and I have goals but my goodness I never knew how uncertain I am about things. I really envy people who know what they want in life. I am scared that I will be in a rut and life goes by without me noticing.

Oh man this is getting so deep. Well it's never about the ending but the journey. Perhaps I just need a little push and we'll see. :)

Maybe the lack of exercise or my body needs a long break! aih. I just came out of a freaking surgery. This is madness. Well I brought this on myself. HA HA.

Probably few rounds of running and cycling would do the trick. I have been eating like a pig!

Perhaps this self realization will put me back on track. oh god PUH LEASE~

I cringed every time i see people who are larger than me and I am just scared to death but it doesn't seem to have that lasting effect. How did I go from running everyday to doing nothing. :(

I promise myself not to make any resolutions since i know how lazy and undisciplined i am. But this year has proven that i've been very reckless. I eon't go into details but i might have bitten more than i could chew and took things for granted.

I have literally followed my heart and couldn't be bothered about anything else as long as i get it! Maybe it's the first year work blunder. it must end or i'll be in big trouble.

I need to be more thrifty and save more!

I was real good a the beginning of the year. Went to the gym and all but now i'm just beyond lazy! Need to get off my fat ass and do something about it. Sigh.

After 23 years and for the first time in my life i was hospitalized! Hahaha. I went for a minor surgery for sinus removal so it was not such a big deal lah but was very jakun.

Could not recall much about the surgery as i was knocked out during the procedure. I had stuffy nose for days and i really hope that i wont't get sick as often!

I was admitted at prince court and it was like a hotel. From the room to the food. Hehe. Very much like a hotel.

I remembered puking a whole lot of blood and was all woozy after the surgery.

Well i didn't enjoy my stay, it was still a hospital so i promise myself to be healthy so i won't have to be admitted for some scary health condition! Amin.

The moon was so bright today! It looked so near! It was still bright at 9 pm. I actually ran from my house and climbed to the playground just to see the moon! Hahha. And two days ago i watched the eclipse and it was the most beautiful thing i've ever seen!

I am currently reading a three part book about a Saudi princess’s life in Saudi Arabia by Jean Sasson. It is interesting to read about the lives of other people in other country. I get a glimpse of how they live their life and it makes me look back and reanalyze how fortunate that I was born in Malaysia. Malaysians need to realize the reality of the word extremism. I sometimes find it difficult to tolerate people who think that religious bodies here are old and close minded. It is their job to govern the sanctity of Islam. There are things that they have done that might aghast you and I myself disagree but look beyond that and remember that far worst things are going on in this world

I’ve always been fascinated by their larger than life lifestyle. Working in KLCC you can just see all these Arabs walking around, going into designer shops and buying expensive things. It’s not that hard to see them as they are always in their black abayas roaming around streets of KL.

Once I was in Harrods buying some macaroons (Probably the only thing I could afford there) there was this Arab lady, or was it a man. But anyway, I caught a glimpse of his/her wallet and saw stacks of RM50 in it. I was in disbelief as I’ve never seen that much money in a wallet. The riches of the Arabs are well known, their rich oil field provided them with endless wealth and massive fortune. Even a normal middle class Saudi is still richer than rich people here. It is apparent that they have been living lavishly and god has blessed them with richness beyond normal people could have in a lifetime.

Back to the book, I’ve always known about some of the restrictions that women faced in Saudi. For example they cannot drive, vote and to the extent of not being able to work or to go out without permission. So the book basically tells the story of Sultana, a princess which faces the same sort of problems most Arab women faced. What fascinates me is not how the men treat the women there but how it is so easy to misinterpret the prophet’s teaching and the Quran. They go overboard in “protecting” the women that they have forgotten humility and basic human rights. Our prophet would have not condoned such actions and if he was still alive he will dismissed those who treats women in such degrading manner.

From stories I’ve heard during my religious school time about the days of Jahiliah and how men killed their daughters and how sinful activities were abundance at the time and I guess some of the actions remain active in such a close country like Saudi Arab. It is not the religion but more of a custom that people still live the way it was 50 years ago. As they are opposed to western culture, they pretty much live their life as how their ancestors have lived.

I was a little bit surprised about the men’s sexual activities there. I mean, I know that most Arabs have four wives and marry a lot of women and divorcing them and marry other women. But having concubines and all sorts of women and activities never had crossed my mind as I’ve always imagined them as religious bunch. I guess men in any world are the same. Perhaps due to the nature of the country which forbids men and women who are not married to even sit down and talk drive the men to do such things. After all human are sexual being and they need to fulfill their desires.

It is mind boggling to think that at the age where women become presidents and prime ministers of countries yet there is still so little that can be done by women in Arab Saudi. I am probably most disturbed not by the fact that arrange marriage is still at large but the fact that they get married as early as 14 years old. Imagine being 14, probably still a child and you have to deal with all these adults issues like your husband and children. As men are seen as superior it is not easy for a person to voice out their opinion let alone disagreeing with a man.

Although they live in luxury there is still apart of them that wants to be free. It is true that money cannot by happiness. I gather from the book there are so much that the Arab women wish for in their life apart from wealth. Coming from a person who has to work for a living and luxury does not come easy, I envy these women for their wealth. But I guess, they would envy me for the freedom that I have. Although I do not have a lot like those Arabs, I still have plenty as compared to others in the 3^rd world or even the poor people in my own backyard.

What I learned from the book is that there are so many things that I don’t know or understand in this world. And yes it might shed not such a nice light on the Arabs, I am not against them nor do I support their actions. It is perhaps my western-educated mind that finds certain things so absurd

Women of my past have fought tirelessly for the freedom that I have now and it is something that no one should take for granted. It is not for us to judge of how they live their life but to understand it and learn from its lessons.

I've always been a big fan of Zee Avi, way back when she was known as kokokaina. Her voice is super soothing. For whatever reason it was super hard to get her latest CD. Something is seriously wrong with the music industry here. How can you not support such talent!

Anyway, it's all about the music and I am big on folk/pop rock /jazz sound and Zee Avi's voice just melts like butter. I can totally imagine myself laying down on a sandy beach listening to her songs. It's a fun very relaxing album with great songs. It's very melodious and such comfort to your ears after a day in the city.

Okay lets listen to one of my favorite songs from the album, Siboh Kitak Nangis which means don't you cry in Sarawak. Well I understand a bit of sarawakian and this song is pretty simple so I could understand it.

and this is probably an unlikely song when you here the title. Who the hell writes about mi kolok right. haha. Well no one can write about mi kolok and make it sound this good okay. KUDOS~

Convocation

Yes my teaser lasted a week! haha

I had my convocation a week ago! yes finally after leaving UTP last November I am officially a graduate and now I hold a scroll of degree! haha.

UTP was home for 4.5 years. So many memories, good and bad.

Anyway, I've already wrote about leaving months ago so this shall be a happy post. I've seen people gone through their convocation year by year and finally it was my turn. There was a sense of liberation when you put on the mortar board and the robe. A sense of pride and that all your hard work is pinned down to this one moment.

In the hall there was this adrenaline rush and it didn't feel real at the time. Time had passed by and I've left UTP for good. It seems foreign because I always have a reason to come back. It was only a year ago I was banging my head doing my FYP and now it's over and that's that! the end of my undergraduate life. haha. Pretty surreal when you lay it out like that. It's as though the years passed by without no one really noticing.

The whole ceremony was as simple as it could be and the moment they played the UTP anthem I can't help but feel sad. I was here, July 2006 fresh faced out of school with big dreams walking into the chancellor hall wondering where will life take me.

Looking back at the back of my mind I wished I had studied harder, get that first class honors but nothing really matters in the end. It's how you take your life from that point onwards. I never regret any of my decisions and I can say I had a SUPER-DUPER-AWESOME time in uni. my grades weren't so bad and I had tons of fun so what's there to regret.

I feel so blessed that my life has been this good so far. I thank god for all his blessings, Alhamdulillah. I will never trade this for anything in this world.

Okay this post is about a week overdue.

When I heard the news I was in KK. I am huge fan of apple products. Steve jobs was a genius. A man that has a vision on how technology should be.

Although I am not one of those who lines up for every single thing that apple comes out with, I really think apple gives you an edge. It's as though he is saying it's cool to be a nerd and a geek.

Anyway, I saw this picture on the day steve jobs passed and I thought it was really cool. Turned out this hong kong design student created it. Super cool!

A new dawn in apple and we shall see where they shall go without Steve Jobs.

Secret Life of Nora

Awesome set pieces! Man I was blown away on how cool the set was!

I liked it but there was something off. I am not so sure. Maybe i was too exhausted at the time. It was good although I hoped the sound system was a little bit better.

Story pretty much simple a singer/actress, Nora unknowingly agreed to endure physical training for a film about spy when in fact she is being trained as a real spy. I told you it was simple. Probably the part i like the most is the training part. The songs and dance were catchy!

It was kinda weird during the act after intermission when they started playing pink's lets get this party started and britney's toxic.

I think the person that stole the show was the AMAZING Adibah noor. She should really do a show at istana budaya! LOVE her~ Aznil was superb as well. With his inability to pronounce R properly, made the whole thing even funnier.

Minus some really corny moments, I say it's a good effort from Malaysia. Although I still think nothing beats P Ramlee,but this came close.

I've lost my blogging momentum but okay I know I should start with one word and we'll see how long will this be!

Well Let me just start with what happened last week.

Last last weekend started off with 2 weddings and 1 engagement. It's a bittersweet moment for me. You can't help but feel jealous when you see people happily married or engaged. Nevertheless, Noin got engaged last weekend. Beautiful small ceremony and it was just so simple. Yes I am now imagining my engagement day. he he. I've known her since I was 11 and wow can't believe she is engaged! Congrats noin!

Two more weddings after that. Lyn's brother Azri. Had a lot of fun taking the flowers and taking pictures and my favorite picture of the they is THIS.

Super hilarious. I was messing with Pia's hair and just poking her all over the place.

Finally to Fira and Imran's wedding. Imran's married! Yes as much I want to say they are married its more shocking on imran's side! hehe. Anyways they have been together for so long and this is their happy ending. Alhamudlillah :)

The week was pretty slow. Probably due to lack of sleep and going out till late night I had fallen sick yet again. Took a day off and when I came back I was running around up and down and just going crazy. Even stopped my car on the roadside to speak on the phone to people from KL to Sabah. What a crazy day. And the icing on the cake was I had to go to KK~ NO i am not being sarcastic. i love it! :)

Was in KK from Thursday to Saturday. Running around KK to membakut to get the job done. I tell you I need to get out of the city and I got my wish. Just what the doctor ordered. KK is just so beautiful and even though i was there for work I just look at the blue sky and the beach and my stress just melts away. Much needed work vacay. he he. Met some great people along the way, learned a thing or two.

I was in Membakut on friday and the sunset was so beautiful. The sky was purple and it felt so magical. I was in a place I never thought I'll ever set foot at and this magnificent scene just made my day.

and I spent the whole sunday at the hair salon and sleep.

Had a totally random night yesterday. Was in Melaka for about 4 hours for seafood. What I do for good food. I love random trips. :)

I think i've been feeling a tad emotional lately. For reasons that I am quite embarrass to say. But anyway, it's all good.

I have an increase in workload which I think it's good although there are still a lot of confusion. I'll take whatever that comes.

I don't really have much to write these days. One post got stuck in draft and probably I'll publish it later. My life is so mundane now, It's a generic cycle. wake up, go to work, go back, sleep. Not complaining lah just feels a little bit overwhelmed. As students you can just randomly do things at your on time including skipping classes when you're lazy, wake up whenever. It's all up to you to manage your own time. Ask me which I prefer, without any reasonable doubt I say Uni life is the best! Ask anyone for that matter, 80% of the time you'll get the same answer.

A lot of adjusting actually even after almost 8 months of working. I think people don't really see me as a working person probably I act like a child sometimes but I think I can't really get over the fact that Uni life is over! Probably after convocation it'll feel real.

I used to believe that I will somehow end up with this person. I can say that I was in love with him for most part even after it ended. I think it took me awhile to finally realize that there's no point anymore. I have finally given up. He was my first love, like it or not it will forever be that. And as corny as this sound yes, you don't really forget your first love.

Yes, I have moved on. and yes he is still a really good friend of mine which I am so glad because after all we were friends first. Many of my friends were rather skeptical about my "friendly" relationship with him because exes can never really be just friends. In normal situation perhaps that's the ideal situation. Cutting off everything and pretend the person never existed. Honestly for the first year after we broke up I was still hoping and I tried very hard to somehow make it work. It was very difficult, battling my feelings and at the same time putting a straight face that everything is alright.

I still look forward for him to come back, to hang out and although traces of feelings will always be there I know now that it didn't work out for a reason. Finally being able to express this is quite a relief and I know now for sure that I have gotten over it. Although I still wonder what would have happened if things had work out. but well that's all in good times.

For the longest time I did close my heart because I was "scarred". Well I learned not too trust so much and not to give your whole heart away. That's when it gets broken. I am no longer a foolish 18 year old in love with a guy. I'm just being realistic, I was more than a fool then and I had to learn it the hard way. and it took years for me to be completely whole but at least I don't live in a freaking fairytale.

Life's good though. Been single for close to three years and I have tons of friends and it's been a roller coaster ride and it is never easy. I always wonder how can a person just forgets and move on? perseverance and a lot of prayers. haha.

Just have to believe in qada' and qadar. :)

I can't barely put words in order. or I am just too lazy.

So I am going to ramble and write about Raya some other day.

I might not be the world's greatest writer but I'll try to be and I don't really care but do you see me as a writer for a living? haha. With all my mundane routine I am starting to bore myself. Maybe doing it for a living will give me some spice in life.

Had a serious discussion on my job prospect with my boss and it seems to be heading to a career of writing. Honestly speaking I don't mind one bit in fact it's probably fitting as I like to write. As he was writing down my academic details, I can't help but wonder where life has taken me.

I was a science stream students doing bits of account. Totally sucked in the science subjects but managed to scored enough As to get a scholarship from petronas and then my life was pretty much set. for glory or gloom depends solely on your judgment. I've been telling this story over and over again and i shall tell it again. I've always thought I would end up being a civil engineer as I love add math and physics. But that didn't come true obviously, ended up with a bachelor in technology. Haha. Well I never heard of Business information system before I entered UTP and 4.5 years down the road I am the holder of that said degree.

Now I am working in Corporate affairs and I haven't typed a single line of codes since and also done any sort of accounting as well. I majored in E-business which basically learning all about SAP and e-commerce and I minored in finance. So it's kinda weird to be in this line of work considering I have been learning technical jargons for 4.5 years. I was even an IT audit for the most part of my short lived career in two audit firms.

Well not that I want to do all the programming or finance stuff so I was pretty glad that I got offered this job and perhaps the only problem that I am facing is just dealing with the fact that my expectations are not quite met just yet.

The point of this post is just that your degree doesn't really matter. I am glad I learned all those IT, finance stuff because I am sure it comes in handy at times. I am pretty much in a trance at the moment. Not quite sure what I really want. Not quite sure what's going to happen. Just hoping and wishing for the best.

Just looking back at my life so far, the choices I've made I think I am on the right path. Although it is hard to carve your own path when you don't have much control but here's hoping. :)

I am pretty lucky that I get to travel quite a bit. At least a new place once a year. But last year was one hell of a good year.

Really looking forward to more destinations. Since I am already working, planning to go a bit farther away. Japan was just so wonderful and really need to plan something out and look forward to it. It's not really about the money now but more about timing. Pretty hard to plan a long holiday now that I am working. So this year would probably stick to South East Asia or Malaysia for that matter. Although I think it's been a pretty good year so far. I've been on the airplane a couple of times. So far this year I've been to japan, singapore, kota kinabalu, Kuching and bintulu. Probably will head to thailand or Bali for new year. Although i am really hoping to go somewhere far like korea or china. We'll see, time is not my best friend at the moment.

I'd love to go to Europe next year. Definitely on the bucket list! As for right now I have a few countries on my mind. My heart is set on Europe and France is at the top of the list! Will make this a reality insyaAllah. It'd be so easy if I can just leave everything behind and go! The downside of working is not having the time to do things!

Whatever it is lets start saving! :D

Hello! Been away for about a week. Finally back in KL! Raya was tiring.

I could never sleep until 11 anymore. I'll be up at least by 8 and I am usually asleep at this time. From all the cooking and entertaining guest, I was dead beat. Okay i am probably not that tired as compared to the others but it was definitely tiring. My first raya where I actually cooked half of the dishes. hehe. I loved it though.

I've always been closer to my cousins on my dad's side because we're all almost at the same age and we practically grew up together. This time around it was all about being nostalgic. Went to the parit behind my tok teh's house and just sat in the water and reminisce all the good times i had playing when I was younger. Went through old pictures with my cousins. Even found my arwah tok wan's old journal. Towards the end of his life he was pretty sick. He even described his condition and there were notes to his sons. Very touching and it's still well kept after all these years.

I am glad that I get to experience raya in the city and also in the kampung. But there's something so great about celebrating raya in taiping. It really feels like raya. From bakar lemang, to the people coming to the house. And my kampung is as kampung as you can imagine. Haha. It's not those side road houses, you have to go deep into the roads to get to my opah's house. The house is older than my dad and they don't expand it since only my opah lives there so it's just a tiny house. Most of my life, the toilet has always been outside, with no flush and finally last year or the year before that ,finally they built a toilet in the house. haha.

Call me a city girl but hey if you put me somewhere in the middle of nowhere I sure can survive. haha.

It's nice to be back in the city though. Oh well I live in Putrajaya, it's pretty much a kampung except with nicer houses and streets. haha.

Time flies pretty quick this week! It's already Wednesday! I have now lost my voice. Probably the quietest I've been so far in my life. Can't barely say anything without sounding like a broken radio although today is a little bit better. A lot of smiles and sign language for today. hee.

I am really at the age where people get married. invitations after another. haha. now i feel sad. But it's okay I am not even close to being ready. So yeah I truly enjoy my single life. Although it would be nice to have someone right now when I am sick. HAHA. Oh well.

haven't written anything for about a week. Super busy with stuff. and finally my body says STOP! and I am finally sick. Sick enough to be in bed since friday. Although I did go out to buy groceries and actually cooked. But almost fainted maybe due to dehydration. Seems fine after buka puasa. Well the cough and flu really make you feel thirstier all day.

Got myself a much needed massage but I think the lady was a bit rough and I am tad sore. But it was good though maybe next time should tell the lady to power down a bit. god she was tiny and she was a malay and fasting, where on earth did she get her energy.

Made lasagna and only TWO people ate it! aih. See this is the reason why I don't cook. It'll go to waste. I was so ready to bake my raya cookies today but that's gonna be postponed till I am fit to cook so I don't spread my virus. haha. I am planning to make three, cornflake cookies, choc chip cookies and the most easy peasy of them all the cornflake drench in chocz-kuih raya. For a non sweet tooth I sure like to bake. haha.

Raya is in a little over a week. I don't have a new baju raya but I have the one I wore for fizah's wedding, i think that's suffice since I only wore it once. Although it's gonna make me so uncomfortable coz it's lace with layers so I'll probably be drenched in sweat but wth can always change into kaftan and sit at home and sleep. haha.

Since this is going to be the first year giving out duit raya, I am going to give it to my cousins first and for the rest probably next year.

On a different topic, I have been sitting in my bed glued to my laptop watching law and order:SVU. HAHA. Should have spent my weekend doing productive things but I didn't feel like doing anything but stare at my computer till I got a headache. Best weekend of my life. he he.

I shall dedicate a post for my adventures of iftars and charity event. I hope this fever will go away.

Good morning! it's 15th of Ramadhan. We're half way there! The moon was beautiful this morning. We're in the 3rd week of Ramadhan and trying to keep up with everything proves to be quite challenging. It's been good so far although I wish I was not so lazy. haha.

I had a lovely weekend. It's nice to be surrounded with people once in a while and it's so nice to actually have people in the house. Two iftar sessions, one at my house and another one at farah's. I'm glad that my circle of friends have finally expanded!

I'm already in the office! New week hopefully will be better than the last. Suddenly had the realization that I am not quite happy with the current situation. Not that I am complaining but I want to be challenged. My senior even said to me "You must be jealous of your friends that have a lot of work". You bet I do. Not that I wish to have work till i can't breathe but my motto in life, having work is better than doing nothing but at the same time I want to make that 4.5 years of hard work worth it. aih, I am thankful for this job but sometimes it's just consuming my soul. I am not the type that sits around doing nothing. How much can I move forward if it continues to be like this.

I'm in a daze, I feel a lot of uncertainty. If I were to lay down the whole story it will look like I'm ungrateful but there are a lot more going on that just makes it so hard not to say anything.

God help me please. I still have faith. it's been only a few months, and you have got to start somewhere. parts of me wish it would be different. If this is the challenge, then I shall take it.

Been meaning to write about this for quite sometime. Not trying to be a smart ass and say that I know football to its core but I do love the beautiful game. Honestly, NO i don't watch football to check out the hot guys well at least not the main reason. But yes 22 fit men on the field playing is not really an eyesore now is it?! haha.

Not here to ramble about my favorite EPL team but lets talk about our very own Harimau Malaya. I watched 90,000 people filled the national stadium and all I can say is WOW! This brings back the days of Mokhtar Dahari and the likes of him. I wasn't even born yet at the time and I can't believe that I get to experience this in my lifetime. It's been quite awhile since the last time Malaysian football has been this exciting! It has been a good year for the national team. Although there are a lot of improvements to be made, I think we are heading to the right direction.

It's integrity at its best! It only takes the rise of the football national team to see thousands of Malaysian faces supporting our very own players! Football brings people together regardless race, gender and religion! I say pump some more money for our players and you don't need crap like 1Malaysia.

What matters most is the support from Malaysian. We might have lost faith once and yes they may tumble a few more times but we have to believe that it's going to get better! :D

Good Morning Saturday!

Finally it's the weekend and I look forward to my sleep! It's not that good to sleep while fasting but at least I get to wake up at 9 something instead of 7 is good enough!

I need an island holiday! or any holiday for that matter. I had 4 days unrecorded leave and I only took one burned the other three. Talk about being a workaholic. The think is I don't really have that much work to begin with but I still really like my job.

Had a lovely buka puasa session with EY people! As for now I have 7 pending buka puasa session to go to! HAHA. I told pia that we should have an event calendar for Ramadhan!

The first is almost over and it's been good so far, looking forward to the next 3 weeks hoping to shed some kgs of my ass. haha. We'll see! I shall achieve it. hehe.

Equality

Equality is something that we all seek. Between men and women, between races, between people in general. It is something that humans have been fighting for for thousand of years.

I am not one to talk about religion. I am myself flawed. I consider myself open minded yet I have my beliefs and I have very strong principals when it comes to certain things.

I fully support equality and freedom of speech, and anything along that line. But does being supportive means condoning any actions that are against the religion? It is too subjective to say actually.

I suppose we like to think that because it is human's right so it's okay that it somehow defies god's law. I may sound a little bit conservative when it comes to this. It doesn't mean that I condemn any act of equality. After all I am a Muslim and my religion is seen as terrorists around the world.

If you were to ask me on the view of humanity, yes equality is necessary and even any religion disapprove of inequality but of course it does have a limit on certain subjects. But if we were to look it at the perspective of religion there are certain things that are clearly wrong. So does humanity overthrows religion? The answer is a matter of principal and belief.

Being liberal is good but too liberal is not good. As being too conservative. I do not seek any justification from this post, it's just a matter of opinion. But to me equality means not judging, respect and just being utterly selfless and not look at the person based on their religion, race, sexuality and others. Anyone in this world wants acceptance and you may disagree with the choices the other person makes but remember after all we are human. Yes do give advice as that is our calling in this life but RESPECT is what we all need.

Equality is not something that we can play around with. It is a sensitive issue regardless the nature but there is a need for balance like everything else in this life. We shall fight for what's rightful ours. Only Allah knows what's really right and wrong. We shall condemn any act of inequality and inhumanity that do not defy our religion

I'm still in bintulu. On the bed waiting for 12 pm to check out. Flight is at 2.30.

Well basically Bintulu has nothing much to offer. Probably a small industrial town with a lot of factories. Other than that there's really nothing much to do here. I really like how green the place is though. I think it's like this all over Sarawak. Even the taxi driver told me the town is small, nothing much here. haha. I walked to a mall the other day. First visit to MLNG yesterday. The meeting was long but very interesting and really learned a lot about the business and the project. They served us laksa Sarawak! Oh I thought i would not get to eat it this time around. Then for lunch tasted umai, midin and the infamous black pepper beef. Super fatt lah wei! Thank god puasa starts on Monday.

After breakfast just now went to the pasar tamu, bought belacan, udang kering, cincaluk. People say belacan bintulu is the best so i bought a block of it for RM50 and we shall see!

Bintulu is definitely not a holiday destination. Definitely will come back on work trips. he he.

aaaa and I've picked up a lil bit of sarawak language. a lil bit lah. basic2 thing. hehe.

Off to Bintulu tomorrow! Yes I am making my rounds around Sarawak. Where to next? haha. Well I am pretty lucky to be part of the Sarawak team I guess. Although I might not have a lot of input but at least I get to experience the operation side of the business. Super excited to go to MLNG!

Will be bringing along mr laptop to accompany me. I'll be there till Saturday. I really want to eat seafood and go to the beach! Nothing much in bintulu I assume except the beach. Weee~ Well since I'll be free after the meeting, probably a short trip to the beach will do!

And then it'll be Ramadhan on Monday! Yay. should lose a couple of kilos! been so fat lately. haha. Okay I should pack now! I hateeee packing.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Okay I actually watched this on opening day. In fact I went and watched it alone coz i can't bare to wait for another minute~ So yes because I was lazy to wait for people to confirm I just went and watch alone. and yes I am finally making time to write about it.

Hands down the best movie from the whole series! I might be bias just because I love harry potter so much but the movie was really good. The thing is I know that harry potter is not a literature masterpiece but it is my childhood. Read all the books, watched all the movies and after all these years I still enjoy everything that is Harry Potter.

It's like saying goodbye to a really good friend. I was close to tears. close je lah tak nangis pon because it is the last oneee! No more after this. Grew up with the books and the movies. In fact the first movie was in 2001 and it's now 10 years later and I am still super excited. These kind of books do not come often and although I do agree that there are better books out there but there's just something about it that's so magical.

IT'S THE END OF AN ERA!! Yes i am exaggerating but it is in fact the end of something that is well loved by billions of people!

Lets talk about the movie. It's a perfect balance of action, heart and soul. The actions were definitely superb especially those super cool graphics and cgi. Although the story is altered a little bit, the essence is still there. Very well crafted. Very very sad! To watch all the actors all grown up and so mature I can't believe that it's been 10 years.

to JK Rowling the woman behind harry potter, I salute you. Thank you for all the great adventures and thank you for bringing us to this magical world.

It was just a normal Friday morning. Had breakfast with Zape and Pia. Zape said a Jr from UTP passed away the day before. Obviously most of them at UTP are juniors so I thought it would not be someone I know.

Back to the office and pia was looking at her facebook and suddenly she screamed out and said that it was this guy name Hafiz. Hafiz is a very2 common name and even with his father's name it still didn't ring a bell. When I finally looked at his picture then I realize it was in fact Hafiz my jr from Syntech. I was in total shock as I was just looking through his pictures a few days back. Been wanting to write on his wall because I haven't heard from him in so long.

I got to know him in 2008, very friendly guy. A lot of energy and definitely hyper. I was just going through some of my earlier conversations with him, can't believe he's gone. Last time he actually said hi on gtalk was about a year ago during Hari Raya. He will definitely be missed. Although I was not that close to him but I will always remember those syntech days and study weeks. What a great loss. So full of life and from the overwhelming wall posts on his facebook I know that he had touched so many people. I regret that I never actually find the time to say hello but things happened and at least I am thankful I got to know him as a person.

It is sad because it was so unexpected. But that's the thing about death, unexpected. You will never know when it is your turn. Went for his tahlil and met his mom. I can't help it when her mom started crying. sigh. Very very sad indeed. To his family and friends my heartiest condolences and he is in a better place, insyaAllah.

Hafiz Abd Hamid you will be sorely missed. Al-Fatihah.

Semoga rohnya dicucuri Rahmat dan tergolong dengan orang-orang yang beriman.

I've always been fascinated with Sabah and Sarawak. from their language to their culture and food maybe coz i've never been to any of the states before.

Was in KK for less than 24 hours but managed to walk around a little bit. Stayed at le Meridien right by the beach and the filipine market. Went gaga over the pearls~ Probably spent more than I should. Got myself a really nice bracelet. :) The meeting went well met new people at the office. Definitely more laid back compared to KLCC! I see green everywhere~ So peaceful! Definitely will come again and explore, didn't get to try any Sabah's delicacies.

Kuching was equally nice. Stayed at this uber cool backpackers' lodge, Lodge 121. I love its simplicity and from outside you won't believe how nice the inside is. It's only walking distance to the city and you pretty much get the kuching feel walking around.

Spent two days walking along the water front. A little bit of shopping and get to taste different flavors of kek lapis. So cantik weh~ Got myself batik sarawak, I'm forever a makcik pegi mana2 mesti beli kain! haha. It's so pretttyyy~

Food was just super duper awesome. Mee belacan, mee kolok and laksa sarawak are the must tries if you go to Sarawak! Love love! I especially love mee belaca.

Rain forest music festival was awesome. World music at it's best. Although very foreign and unique i really enjoyed it. had an AHA moment watching people drinking and dancing half naked. I mean it's not that I was shocked or anything but this is still Malaysia. haha. Oh well, breathing proof you don't have to be drunk or high to have fun!

Overall it was a much needed trip and I really enjoyed every second of it. Kuching is so beautiful will definitely come back for more!

Yay~ Finally after quite sometime I managed to drag my lazy ass and be at the office by 7.45!!

It's mid July and August is coming in 2 weeks! Oh yes I'm suppose to write about kuching and harry potter but now I'm super lazy so will do it at home where the internet is no so sucky.

I lost my tag!! Agghhh. I hate that stupid chain, shall get a nice lanyard. haih. Why lah why la!!

I'm in KUCHING!

After 23 years I have finally landed in both Sabah and Sarawak~ Woweee.

Now waiting for aini and ika to arrive from KL. If I have money i will seriously only take MAS. I love how comfy it feels like to be on MAS. Haha. Well as long as I get to go places, naik apa pon tak kesah lah.

Omg i am so sleepy!!! Can't barely keep my eyes open. I am gonna hv a very good night sleep tonight! Simpan tenaga untuk bersuka ria. :D

Omg Le Meridien KK is so cantik!! and i am all alone in this room.Just had a long bath! So tired. The room is so niceeee~~

Anyway a change of plan, I am going straight from KK to Kuching tomorrow because the meeting is postponed to 2 pm so it's impossible for me to catch the 3.15 pm flight back to KL. So at least kurang satu aeroplane nk kene naik! Borneo trip all the way baby! Can't wait to go to menara PETRONAS tomorrow.

I would love to explore kk but maybe next time yeah~

I'm off to KK tomorrow! Surprise surprise. I am surprise myself! I thought for sure that my SM was joking when she said "jom pegi kk esk". It took me awhile for it to sink in. I was half happy but at the same time was panicking too because I realized that I am going to Kuching on Thursday. So basically my itinerary is tomorrow flight to KK at 5.30 then come back the next day on the 3.15 flight and then 9 pm flight to Kuching. Well I am basically going back and forth from peninsular and east malaysia. So fun right! I'm gonna spend half my day in the plane.

Hopefully everything goes well. Been wanting to go to KK for the longest time. Although I will be there for less than 24 hours and might not be able to go around but at least I can say I've been to KK. I should pack and I have a long list of things to print and copy to bring tomorrow.

I can't even think about my trip to Kuching. I'm gonna have a long week ahead and i am pretty sure that I am going to be absolutely BROKE. hadeh. I'm gonna enjoy this moment. Ada sikit rasa macam rockstar. lol :P

Hello July and Sya'ban.

One more month to ramadhan. :D

Hope for a good month. Work has been good. I like running around being busy even though I am dead tired by the end of the day. I love my job. I don't do the same thing everyday but it requires a lot of thinking and analyzing. So my brain gets pretty tired.

I was fortunate to sit down in a meeting with the President. I was nervous like hell although I was just there to click next. Definitely a good experience. I just sat and smiled, and nod and looked really jakun. I was in the same room as the head of the company and for the whole 1.5 hour I looked straight at him. hehe. Berani la sebab tukang tekan je. haha.

I really want to get out of the office. Seriously! Haha. I am handling Sarawak and Myanmar so hopefully I'll get to travel. please oh please!!

Well enough about work, I've been sleeping non stop for the last two days and getting fatter! agghhh. So back to the gym next week. YES! Can't wait for PUASA! been eating non stop. Haih.

I'm off to Kuching on the 7th~ weehee. Cannot wait. Much needed break from the city. Probably a lil bit of soul searching. haha.

Wow I’ve rambled that much in 5 years?

I started this blog about 5 years ago in September 2006 after many failed attempt to keep a blog alive. And after 5 years I am still writing although not as much as I used to. I started this blog fresh when I started uni. So basically I’ve chronicled my life since then. Probably the most fascinating time a person could have. I can say that, my uni life was well documented and I will be able to look back at all those memories.

5 years have passed and soo many things have happened and changed. The good, the bad and of course the ugly are here in this blog. I will always smile when I read back those years I was madly in love. Haha. Aih I was so young and stupid. Haha. Oh well at least I will always have that.

Now that I am beginning something new in my life, a new chapter begins and hopefully I’ll continue writing. Probably more mature stuff? Hahaha. I doubt it. lol

i am forgiving but to a point I no longer can tolerate this. I am done being nice. I am done being the bigger person. For once I want to say NO.
I'm usually a very sensible person but I don't like being taken for granted. therefore you don't deserve anything anymore from me.
Trust me it took me awhile to come to this so call it whatever. i am just over it.

i will say this, i have forgiven you and i hope you will forgive me too but this is it. I see no point of being a hypocrite.
